Alyson Kohlmeier was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. She was a student at St. Patrick’s High School where she received an athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan.
While at U of M, Alyson ran for five years as a member of the cross-country , indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Alyson was named an ESPN Academic All-American and Sophomore Athelete Scholar (2006) as a Wolverine. She won several Big Ten Titles and was a two-time All-American.
After Graduating from Michigan with a Bachelor of Science, she was accepted to the Schulich School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. During dental school, Alyson received the Centennial Orthodontic & Pediatric Dentistry Award and the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award. Upon completion of her Dental degree, she began a one year Advanced Education of General Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This residency program focused on treatment planning and comprehensive care.
Besides dentistry, Alyson enjoys physical fitness, cooking and travelling.
